Abby DeHaas joined the Duke Athletics staff in April of 2022 and serves as an Assistant Director of Academic Services, working with Duke's baseball, rowing, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis and women's tennis programs.
DeHaas graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Strategic Communication in 2009. She went on to obtain a Master of Education in Counselor Education -- Student Affairs and College Counseling degree from The Citadel in 2013.
Following her graduation from The Citadel, DeHaas served as an assistant academic counselor for the University of Memphis. She helped mentor men's basketball and football student-athletes while also working with Memphis' baseball, softball and women's soccer teams. Prior to her arrival in Durham, DeHaas most recently served as Director of Academic Affairs for Athletics at Charleston Southern University, where she worked with the volleyball, women's tennis, men's basketball, men's baseball and football teams.
