Don Fowler began in the development office at Duke in 1999 and was promoted to Associate Director of Development at Duke in February 2005.
Fowler was a four-year letterwinner in baseball at Duke. He was a team captain as a senior and led the team with a 3.61 ERA in 1987. He earned his bachelors degree in Economics in 1988. He went on to play baseball for the Class A Waterloo Diamonds. He led the team with a 2.95 ERA and was named player of the month for August in 1989. He returned to Duke to earn his MBA at the Fuqua School of Business in 1994.
Before coming to Duke, he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Development at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1996-99.
Fowler is a native of Granville County, N.C. He currently resides in Durham and has a son, Carl.
