Danowski Headlined Duke's All-ACC Selections
Duke head coach John Danowski was named the 2011 ACC Coach of the Year after guiding the Blue Devils to the ACC title and a 3-0 record in league play ... This is the second time Danowski has been honored as the top coach in the ACC by his peers ... Junior CJ Costabile and freshman Jordan Wolf were named to the All-ACC squad ... The honor is the first for both Blue Devils and Wolf was one of three freshmen chosen.
Recapping Duke's 2011
Duke finished the 2011 season with a 14-6 overall record and ranked third in the final Inside Lacrosse Media Poll ... The Blue Devils collected six All-America awards with redshirt junior Justin Turri leading the way on the second team ... Zach Howell, CJ Costabile and Tom Montelli picked up third team recognition and Robert Rotanz and Jordan Wolf were honorable mention picks ... Howell led all Blue Devils with 59 points on 43 goals and 16 assists ... He finished his career with 134 goals ... Rookies Wolf and Christian Walsh were next in the scoring column with 51 and 34 points, respectively ...
