SETTING THE SCENE
• With only three regular season matches remaining, the Duke wrestling team (6-11, 0-4 ACC) will next host eighth-ranked NC State (13-4, 3-0 ACC) Friday, Feb. 13 inside Cameron Indoor Stadium at 7 p.m. Of the three remaining regular season contests, two will be contested in Durham as the Blue Devils will host Cornell Sunday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m., for senior day.Â

THE SERIES WITH NC STATE
• Duke and NC State will meet for the 92nd time in program history with the Wolfpack leading the series, 69-21-1. In matches contested in Durham, Duke owns an 8-34 record.Â
• NC State has won 10 in a row in the series with the last Duke victory coming on Jan. 7, 2015 with an 18-17 win in Raleigh, N.C.

Aidan Wallace is also ranked in three different polls -- Intermat (#23), WrestleStat (#29) and FloWrestling (#24).
• Wallace (24-3) and Barket (18-4) have combined for a 42-7 start to the 2025-26 campaign.
• In the latest NCAA Coaches Rankings, Barket is ranked No. 23 and Wallace is No. 27. Â

MOVING UP WINS LIST
• Duke redshirt sophomore
Aidan Wallace collected his 24th win of the season this past Friday against North Carolina. His 24 victories ranks tied for sixth on Duke's single-season record charts for 174 pounds. With his next win, he will move into a tie for fifth. The most wins in a season in Duke history at 174 pounds is 29 by Matt Finesilver in 2021-22.Â
• Redshirt junior
Connor Barket collected his 18th win of the season against North Carolina to rank tied for seventh on Duke's single-season chart in the heavyweight class. He posted 24 wins a season ago to rank fifth.Â

LAST TIME OUT
• The Duke wrestling team traveled down the road to 13th-ranked North Carolina last Friday evening and featured four Blue Devils with wins, but dropped a 25-13 decision to the Tar Heels inside Carmichael Arena.
• Totaling victories on the evening were
Aidan Wallace (174),
Connor Barket (285),
Raymond Adams (141) and
Dylan Ross (149). It marked the second match in a row that the trio of Wallace, Barket and Ross totaled victories.Â
• The match opened at 157 pounds with Duke's
Mikey Boulanger going up against 28th-ranked Laird Root of the Tar Heels. After falling behind, 12-2, in the second period, Boulanger registered the Blue Devils' first takedown of the night to cut into the lead, 12-5. Laird ended up totaling a 16-6 major decision victory.
• At 174 pounds, Duke's 23rd-ranked
Aidan Wallace and Collin Carrigan featured a scoreless first period. A product of Mahwah, N.J., Wallace took a 1-0 lead with an escape in the second. He then collected a takedown to go ahead, 4-0. With a 4-0 lead entering the third, Wallace added another takedown to move the ledger to 7-0. Carrigan added an escape with 20 seconds remaining, but Wallace was too strong notching a 7-1 decision.
The Blue Devils notched at least one takedown in each of the first four bouts.
• At heavyweight, Duke's 20th-ranked
Connor Barket had a scoreless first period against Jacob Levy. Barket, who hails from West Lafayette, Indiana, took a 1-0 lead in the second and then registered a takedown to go ahead, 4-0. Barket added a point for UNC stalling and led 5-0 entering the third. With another takedown, Barket moved the score to 9-0 with less than a minute remaining and won a 10-0 major decision.
•  Looking for his first career ACC victory at 125 pounds, Duke redshirt sophomore
Spencer von Savoye faced Cameron Stinson, Jr. Stinson took a 3-0 lead with a takedown in the first and led 7-3 entering the third period. With two takedowns in the third, von Savoye evened the match, 8-8, with 30 seconds left. Stinson was able to get a late escape to win, 9-8.
• At 141 pounds, junior
Raymond Adams faced UNC's Marco Tocci. Adams took a 3-0 lead early with a takedown in the first and led, 3-1, entering the second period. Tocci added an escape in the second to cut into the lead, 3-2. With a takedown as time expired in the second, Tocci took his first lead of the match at 5-3. Adams, a native of Merrick, New York, registered an escape with under a minute remaining and trailed, 5-4. With a strong finish in the final seconds, Adams posted another takedown to collect the 7-5 decision.
• Redshirt freshman
Dylan Ross went up against North Carolina's Nate Askew in the final bout of the evening at 149 pounds. After a scoreless first period, Ross took a 1-0 lead 30 seconds into the second with an escape. Askew evened the score, 1-1, with an escape of his own with 1:10 remaining in the third. Ross, who is from Edgewater, New Jersey, collected a takedown 32 seconds into sudden victory extra time to register the win.

ADAMS WINS AT UNC
• Duke junior
Raymond Adams won his first ACC bout of the season on the road at North Carolina. He totaled a 7-5 decision against Marco Tocci.Â
• Adams now owns at least one ACC victory in each of his three seasons with the Blue Devils.Â

ROSS REGISTERS THIRD ACC WIN
• Duke redshirt freshman
Dylan Ross collected his third ACC win this past week as he defeated North Carolina's Nate Askew.Â
• A couple of weeks ago, Ross registered a key win against Virginia's Wynton Denkins. Ross had lost to Denkins, 4-2, in the Southern Scuffle back on Jan. 3. He has won seven out of his last nine matches.Â
• Ross continues to have a solid season with the Blue Devils as he trying to qualify for the NCAA Championship. He owns a 14-8 overall record and 3-1 mark in ACC action. He is 7-6 in dual play so far in 2025-26.Â

WALLACE NOTCHES MILESTONE
• With his six wins at the Southern Scuffle, redshirt junior
Aidan Wallace reached 20 victories on the season. He has now collected 20+ wins at the 164-pound weight class and the 174-pound class over the last two seasons.
• Wallace became the 14th Blue Devil to notch back-to-back 20+ win seasons -- Matt Finesilver, Frank Cornely, Levi Craig, Voris Tejada, John Barone, Diego Bencomo, Jacob Kasper, Conner Hartmann, Mike Mitchell, Immanuel Kerr-Brown, Josh Finesilver, Marcus Cain and Tommy Hoang.
• Wallace has become just the fourth Blue Devil to collect 20+ wins in multiple weight classes -- Frank Cornely (174, 184), Voris Tejada (157 and 174), John Barone (174/184 & 184/197) and Josh Finesilver (133 and 141).Â

DUKE REACHES SIX WINS
• Duke has opened the season with a 6-11 ledger. The six wins are the most victories by the Blue Devils since the 2021-22 campaign when Duke totaled a 7-10 ledger.Â
• Over the last 10 years, Duke has reached five or more wins only three times -- 2025-26, 2021-22 and 2017-18.
