DURHAM, N.C.— Highlighted by five home games to start the season, the 2026 Duke men's lacrosse schedule is official, as announced by head coach
John Danowski. The Blue Devils play eight home games overall and a matchup with 2025 NCAA Champion Cornell.
For the first time in school history, the Blue Devils open a lacrosse season in the month of January when Duke hosts Bellarmine Jan. 31. The Blue Devils play four games from Jan. 31-Feb. 28, five games in March, including the ACC opener at Syracuse and cap the regular season with four contests in April. The full broadcast schedule will be released closer to opening faceoff.
Season tickets are available for purchase for $64 and are good for admission to all eight home men's lacrosse games. That is a $24 savings from buying eight individual tickets during the season. Five Games in Durham to Start the Year
Duke will play its first five games on Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium. After the January opener against the Knights, the Blue Devils host Utah (Feb. 6), Vermont (Feb. 15), Jacksonville (Feb. 21) and Saint Joseph's (March 1).
The Blue Devils play the Utes in the regular season for the second time, while the Catamounts visit Durham for the third time in Danowski's tenure. Duke is a combined 7-0 against those programs. Meeting for the 16th time in 17 seasons, the Blue Devils and Dolphins close out the month of February with a noon faceoff in Durham.
Flying Through March
The Blue Devils will be well acquainted with the friendly skies in March. After opening the month with Saint Joseph's, Duke hits the road for three of its next four games. The Blue Devils take flight to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force. It will be the first time Duke has played a game at Air Force when the two squads face off March 7.
Duke flies up the East Coast the following week (March 14) for a neutral site game in Farmingdale, N.Y., against Providence before returning home to host Denver (March 22). The Blue Devils board another plane to central New York for the ACC opener against Syracuse March 28. Duke went 1-1 against the Orange last season, beating them in the regular season before falling in the ACC Championship game. The Blue Devils won in Syracuse for the first time in 2023 and are 8-9 all-time against the Orange in regular season tilts.
The Gauntlet of April
Duke's schedule in April features three NCAA Tournament teams, including the 2025 NCAA Champion Cornell Big Red. The Blue Devils open the month with a home game April 4 against Virginia. Duke looks to make it 19 straight regular season wins over the Cavaliers.
The next week, Duke heads back to Long Island in a neutral site game against Cornell. The Blue Devils and Big Red haven't played in the regular season since 2009. Duke is 4-6 all-time against the Ivy League power.
The Blue Devils stay in the Triangle for the final two games, hosting Notre Dame (April18) and traveling to North Carolina (April 25). Duke looks to pick up its first win over the Fighting Irish since a 13-12 overtime win in 2021. The matchup in Chapel Hill with the Tar Heels will be the 84th meeting between the schools.
May is for the Postseason
The ACC Championship is back in Charlotte, North Carolina, May 1-3. The top four teams in the league qualify for the postseason event at American Legion Memorial Stadium.
