DURHAM, N.C. — For the second week in a row, a Duke women's soccer standout has earned the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) accolades as
Mia Minestrella was named the National Offensive Player of the Week.
Minestrella, a native of Redondo Beach, Fla., tallied five goals and three assists in leading Beach Futbol Club to one victory and a draw this past week. She contributed to eight of the 10 goals Beach scored in the two contests.
In Friday's matchup at No. 6 San Diego Dons, Minestrella opened the scoring in the 34th-minute. She then assisted on Beach's second goal in the 42' to double its lead at half. Two days later in its second match of the week, Minestrella tallied four goals and two assists to contribute to six goals in the 7-0 win.
With the regular season ending this week, Minestrella tallied eight goals in seven matches to lead the Beach Futbol Club.

Minestrella is coming off a sophomore season at Duke where she tallied 12 goals and helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA College Cup and the ACC regular season title.
