DURHAM, N.C. – A trio of Duke football student-athletes received Athlon Preseason All-America accolades according to an announcement by the organization. Senior cornerback Chandler Rivers earned a second team nod while graduate safety Terry Moore and redshirt junior offensive lineman Brian Parker II were fourth team selections. The All-America pick is the second of the preseason for each member of the trio.
Rivers is a Phil Steele Second Team Preseason All-America selection after earning an All-America nod by four publications following the 2024 season: The Athletic (Second Team), College FootÂball Network (Second Team), the Associated Press (Third Team) and Phil Steele (Fourth Team). Moore is a returning Action Network Second Team All-America honoree and Second Team All-ACC safety who was a 2025 Phil Steele Preseason Third Team honoree. Parker II earned Second Team All-ACC accolades after the 2024 campaign and 2025 Phil Steele Preseason Third Team honors.
In addition to the All-America picks, Rivers, Moore and Parker II were all Preseason First Team All-ACC selections by Athlon. Joining the trio in receiving all-league nods were sophomore punter Kade Reynoldson (second), redshirt junior defensive end Wesley Williams (second), graduate linebacker Tre Freeman (third), senior defensive end Vincent Anthony Jr.(fourth), redshirt sophomore Que'Sean Brown as both a punt returner and wide receiver (fourth), redshirt junior center Matt Craycraft(fourth), redshirt senior running back Jaquez Moore (fourth) and graduate offensive lineman Justin Pickett (fourth).

Duke is set to kick off the 2025 season at home on Thursday, August 28 when it welcomes Elon to Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
