DURHAM, N.C. – Duke head football coach Manny Diaz announced Tuesday that offensive lineman Jordan Larsen has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the institution and join the Blue Devil gridiron program.
The 6-3, 310-pound Larsen played in 24 games with 13 starts for South Dakota the past three years. He helped the Coyotes to a combined record of 21-6 the last two seasons with a share of the Missouri Valley Conference crown in 2024. South Dakota advanced to the FCS playoffs in 2023 and 2024 with a semifinal appearance last fall.Â
Â
Larsen guided South Dakota to 11 wins during the 2024 campaign, tied for the most victories in a season in program history. He helped the Coyotes rank second in the FCS in tackles for loss allowed per game (2.93), sixth in rushing offense per game (215.9), ninth in total offense per game (436.9) and ninth in sacks allowed per game (0.93) in 2024.Â
Â
The South Dakota offense posted six games with 500 or more yards of total offense in 2024, including a season-best 622 against Indiana State. Larsen provided lanes for a rushing attack that tallied four games with 300 or more yards. He was one of 14 redshirt freshmen to compete for the Coyotes during the 2023 season, appearing in 11 games, primarily on special teams.Â
Larsen, a Harrisburg, S.D., native, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2025 campaign.Â
