DURHAM, N.C. – Duke baseball was selected as the No. 2 seed in the Athens, Ga., regional, the selection committee announced Monday. The selection marks the 12th NCAA tournament appearance for the Blue Devils, seventh under head coachÂ
Chris Pollard, and third consecutive appearance.

Regionals will run May 30 through June 1 at Foley Field in Athens, Ga.

Duke (37-19) is slated to open the regional against No. 3 seed Oklahoma State (28-23), while host Georgia (42-15) earned the top seed and will play against Binghamton (29-24).

The winner of the double-elimination NCAA Regional will advance to a best-of-three NCAA Super Regional, which will run from June 5-7 or June 6-8. The Athens Regional winner will face the winner of the Oxford Regional, which features Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky, and Murray State. The College World Series will be played in Omaha, Neb., from June 13-23.

Chris Pollard leads the Blue Devils to a regional for a program record seventh time in 12 seasons (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025), winning the automatic qualifier and ACC Tournament Championship in 2021 and 2024. Before arriving at Duke, the Blue Devils had compiled just five NCAA Tournaments (1952, 1953, 1956, 1957, and 1961).
