DURHAM, N.C. – Five Blue Devils were named to the 2025 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) South All-Region team, as announced by the organization Friday.
Senior Carly Bernstein headlined the honors as a South All-Region First Team selection, while sophomore Bella Goodwin, graduate Callie Hem, senior Kerry Nease and redshirt sophomore Eva Pronti were named to the South All-Region Second Team.
Bernstein sports a team-best 82 points, with 46 goals and 36 assists. She had one of the best games of her career this season, scoring a career-high six goals paired with two assists for a career and game-high eight points against Louisville (4/12).
Bernstein posted three-plus points in 17 games this season and ranks No. 7 in the ACC, averaging 1.80 assists per game. In program single-season records, she ranks seventh with her 36 helpers and sits tied for No. 11 with her 82 points. Bernstein boasts 80 career assists, which ranks sixth in the program career records.
Goodwin scored three or more goals in 10 games this season. She accumulated 53 markers and 18 helpers for 71 points. In the second round of the NCAA Championship against Virginia (5/11), she matched her career-high six goals – a mark she set earlier this season against Brown (4/1).
Hem netted a team-best 67 goals paired with five assists to give her 72 points. She tied program's record for most goals scored in a game with her eight markers against JMU in the first round of the NCAA Championship (5/9). Hem also sits at fourth place on the program single-season goals charts.
Nease was Duke's top draw taker this season, earning 112 draws. She earned 10 or more draw controls in five games this season and ranks No. 4 in the ACC, as she averaged 5.60 draws earned per game.
Nease earned her season-high 12 draws in the season-opening game against Elon (2/7) and matched that mark at Pittsburgh (4/5). In the Blue Devils' career records, she polls at fourth place with 226 career draw controls, while also sitting at fifth place in program's single-season draw controls record.
Pronti was Duke's top distributor, as she dished out a team-best 49 helpers this season – a mark that broke the program's single-season assist record. Along with her dimes, she has also netted 13 goals.
Pronti set a Duke single-game record with seven assists at Virginia (3/15) and tied that record in the first round of the NCAA Championship with her seven helpers against JMU (5/9). She ranks No. 4 in the ACC, averaging 2.45 assists per game this season.
