DURHAM, N.C. – The 14th-seeded Blue Devils are set to open NCAA Regional play against Howard on Friday at Duke Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
The Blue Devils earned hosting rights for the fourth time in program history and welcome Coastal Carolina, Georgia and Howard for the Durham Regional. The regional is a double-elimination format.

Dani Drogemuller was selected to the ACC All-Tournament Team after tossing two complete games, surrendering just two earned runs off nine hits with seven strikeouts in her 13.0 innings of work.
Howard (31-18) enters the regional after claiming the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) title for the third time in program history. The Bison received the MEAC's automatic bid after defeating South Carolina State, 6-1, in the championship game on Sunday. Graduate student Ameenah Ballenger was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player while head coach Tori Tyson received Most Outstanding Coach honors. Senior Mia Gonzales also earned MEAC All-Tournament recognition.

The Blue Devils and Bison are set to meet for the second time in program history after playing at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic earlier this season. Duke earned a 13-1 run-rule victory in Cathedral City, Calif.
