DURHAM, N.C. – Duke softball earned its fifth-consecutive bid to the NCAA Softball Championship after being selected the No. 14 seed during Sunday night's selection show.
The Blue Devils earned hosting rights for the fourth time in program history and welcome Coastal Carolina, Georgia and Howard to Duke Softball Stadium beginning Friday.`
Duke opens action in the Durham Regional on Friday at 12 p.m. against Howard. Georgia and Coastal Carolina will follow with a 2:30 p.m. matchup. The regional is a double-elimination format.
The Blue Devils and Bison are set to meet for the second time in program history after playing at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic earlier this season. Duke earned a 13-1 run-rule victory.

Dani Drogemuller was selected to the ACC All-Tournament Team after tossing two complete games, surrendering just two earned runs off nine hits with seven strikeouts in her 13.0 innings of work. Duke now has 12 all-tournament selections in program history, including a pair of MVPs in
Jala Wright and
Peyton St. George.
Overall, Duke is 13-10 in the NCAA Championship after making the program's first Women's College World Series appearance last season and has outscored opponents 95-67 during the tournament.
Tickets for the 2025 Durham Regional will go on sale Monday at 2 p.m.
