Brookelyn Grayson: For this season, I'm excited to travel a lot for conference and non-conference games.
GD: What is your favorite part about softball?
BG: My favorite part of softball is competing. I love to compete, whether its in the infield with a ground ball trying to get the batter out or as a batter going against the pitcher. I love trying to do my best and always come out on top.
GD: What do you like most about Duke so far?
BG: It's been an incredible experience so far playing with the people I've seen on TV and go to the Women's College World Series. I've been taking in everything I can and trying to learn from the best.
GD: What makes Duke different from where you grew up?
BG: I think the people are different. Everyone has been so welcoming and I've loved getting to know different people. You can walk up to anyone and start a conversation.
GD: What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of softball?
BG: Outside of softball, I like to play basketball and pickleball. I'm a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
