DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track and field gears up for the first of two home meets this season as the Blue Devils prepare to host the Duke Invitational this weekend. The three-day meet is slated for April 10-12 at Morris Williams Stadium.

WHAT TO KNOW:
- Duke will recognize its senior class for their contributions and accomplishments on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m.
- Duke's women enter the weekend ranked 12th in the nation and first in the ACC in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.
- In the event squad rankings, the Blue Devils are No. 1 in the men's and women's 400m hurdles and women's 400m, No. 6 in the women's 100m and 800m and No. 8 in the women's 200m.
- The Blue Devils head into the competition having set one school record and 22 top-five program marks thus far through two outdoor meets.
- Thursday's schedule of events begins in the early afternoon and features the first half of events in the men's decathlon (12 p.m.) and women's heptathlon (1 p.m.), while the women's hammer throw commences the field events at 2 p.m.
- The women's discus (9:30 a.m.) gets Friday's slate going bright and early. The final day of multis begins at 2:20 p.m., in the decathlon 110m hurdles with action on the track set to resume at 3:15 p.m., with the prelims of the men's 110m hurdles.
- Saturday's jam-packed scheduled sees the women's long jump (11 a.m.) open up the field events before teams take the track for the women's 4x100m relay at noon.
LAST TIME OUT:
- Duke track and field delivered another stellar showing in its second meet of the outdoor campaign, with the Blue Devils turning in 12 top-five program marks at the Jim Click Shootout, headlined by a school-record-breaking performance in the men's 4x400m relay.
- In addition to the dozen top-five program marks, Duke posted wins in the men's and women's 4x400m relay and men's and women's javelin events and logged 16 podium finishes across the weekend.
- Duke capped the two-day meet in commanding fashion via a sweep of the 4x400m relays, as both the men's and women's Blue Devil quartets put on incredible performances en route to staking their respective spots on the Duke charts.
- Comprised of Andres Langston, Joseph Taylor, TJ Clayton and Anish Rajamanickam, the Duke foursome got off the blocks hot en route to clocking a blistering time of 3:08.53 – nearly three seconds faster than the runner-up – unseating the previous mark set in 2022.
- On the women's side, the Blue Devil contingent of Julia Jackson, Lauren Tolbert, Braelyn Baker and Megan McGinnis slotted themselves No. 3 all-time in program lore via a finish of 3:28.82. The Blue Devils also found success in the women's 4x100 earlier in the afternoon, as the foursome comprised of Mia Edim, Abby Geiser, Meredith Sims and Baker sprinted their way into the program history books behind a dash of 43.94 seconds – No. 2 all-time.
- Joe DiDario and Julia Magliaro helped the Blue Devils complete another event sweep – this one coming in the men's and women's javelin. Magliaro came through with her clutchest throw on her sixth attempt launching the javelin 48.22m (158-2 feet) to claim the win. DiDario slotted himself atop the competition field after parlaying his opening throw into a mark of 68.03m (223-2 feet).
