OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – Duke graduate left-handed pitcher
Reid Easterly was named to the College Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher of the Year Watch List, the organization announced on Friday.
The list of 54 of the nation's best hurlers represents 20 conferences and reflects the top mound performers to this point of the 2025 season. Thirty-eight of the 54 pitchers listed sport an ERA below 2.50, including Easterly, who boasts a 2.14 ERA in 42 innings of work.
"We are extremely excited about the group of pitchers who are leading the way in 2025," Pitcher of the Year Award co-chair Chris Snead said. "This will be a difficult choice to select the best of the best."
Easterly, a six-foot transfer from Yale, was a 2023 All-Ivy First Teamer before joining the Blue Devils in the fall. In his first season with Duke, Easterly has produced 4-1 record on the mound, collecting four saves and posting a 2.14 ERA. He has worked 42 innings, allowing 10 earned runs and striking out 34 batters. Easterly has become a key arm in the Duke bullpen, holding opponents to a .199 batting average against.
