SETTING THE SCENE
• Duke wrestling is set to host the ACC Wrestling Championship Sunday, March 9 inside Cameron Indoor Stadium. The action will get started at 10 a.m., and will go all day with the finals beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the championship. All parking for fans will be in the Science Drive garage.Â

ACC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
• Over the history of the Duke wrestling program, the Blue Devils have registered 24 ACC Champions, six medalist come from the heavyweight class. Karl Shetler (HWT, 1959), Luke Sharpe (1964), Ed Newman (1970, 1971), Joel Puleo (1973, 1974, 1975), Konrad Dudziak (2009, 2010), Jacob Kasper (2018).
• The last Blue Devil to earn ACC Champion accolades was Mitch Finesilver in 2019. Finesilver defeated North Carolina's A.C. Headlee by decision, 9-5, in the 149 pound finals.
• In recent years the Blue Devils have had success in the ACC Championship within the heavyweight bracket. Jacob Kasper was an ACC Champion in 2018, after defeating North Carolina's Corey Daniel by an 8-4 decision.
• The 2023 ACC Championships featured Jonah Niesenbaum placing second in the heavyweight division. Niesenbaum fell to NC State's Owen Trephan by a 7-2 decision in the final.

• The Duke wrestling program has assembled an impressive group of alumni who will present the awards on Sunday at the 2025 ACC Wrestling Championship, which will be held in Cameron Indoor Stadium.Â

BARKET & WALLACE LISTED IN NCAA COACHES' RANKING
• The second coaches' ranking and first NCAA Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) for the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships were released Feb. 13 with Duke's
Connor Barket and
Aidan Wallace listed at 285 and 165 pounds, respectively.Â
• The rankings list the top 33 wrestlers at each weight with Barket coming in at No. 24 and Wallace at No. 28 nationally. In the RPI, Barket is No. 16 and Wallace is No. 26.Â
• Wallace, a native of Mahwah, N.J., owns a 22-7 ledger on the season with three victories against ranked opponents. He advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Scuffle to open 2025 and recently registered the highest-ranked victory of his career with a 4-1 sudden victory win over 23rd-ranked Mac Church of Virginia Tech. Wallace's 22 wins currently ranks as the third-most in single-season history at 165 pounds.Â
• A product of West Lafayette, Ind., Barket has collected 22 victories on the year. Barket has registered two ranked wins on the year and is 12-4 on the season in dual matches. His ranked wins came against 19th-ranked Stephan Monchery of Appalachian State and 33rd-ranked Jack Forbes of Utah Valley. In just two seasons at Duke, Barket has already collected 38 victories at heavyweight.Â

WALLACE EARNS ACC CO-WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
• Coming off the highest-ranked win of his short collegiate career, Duke's
Aidan Wallace was tabbed the ACC Co-Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 28.
• Wallace went up against 23rd-ranked Mac Church of Virginia Tech live on ACC Network on Jan. 24. After a scoreless first period, Church received two stalling warnings to give Wallace a 1-0 lead. Church was able to even the match, 1-1, with an escape with 29 seconds remaining in regulation. Wallace earned a takedown with 1:18 on the clock in the first overtime to collect the thrilling victory. Wallace's win was his first ACC win of his collegiate career.

NOTING THE BLUE DEVILS
• In the regular season finale against Stanford,
Gaetano Console closed the match with a 174-pound bout against Lars Michaelson. After a scoreless first period, Console registered an escape five seconds into the second and then with 27 seconds remaining Console collected a takedown and fall to win the bout. The fall for Console was his first of the season and seventh of his career. It also marked Console's first career ACC victory.
• With
Connor Barket's win versus Gardner-Webb, Duke now features two 20-win wrestlers as
Aidan Wallace owns 21 victories. The last time the Blue Devils featured two 20-win wrestlers was in 2021-22 with Matt (29) and Josh (28) Finesilver.Â
• Senior
Logan Ferrero collected his fourth victory of the season and his first fall with the win against Gardner-Webb's Dominic DiTullo with 1:39 remaining in the second period. It was his seventh career dual match victory.
• Against VMI, freshman
Riley Rowan picked up his first collegiate victory as he totaled a 10-4 decision against Cody Tanner. Rowan comes from a family of wrestlers as his father, David, wrestled at Edinboro and his brother, Kyle, wrestled at Stanford. Â
• After dealing with a knee injury for the first month, redshirt sophomore
Gaetano Console picked up his first dual match win of the season with a 14-4 major decision victory against Marc Koch of Davidson. Console then posted a 10-6 decision against Andrew Wilson of Gardner-Webb. He now owns 12 dual match wins over his career.
• Freshman
Vincent Lee featured a solid start to his collegiate career by totaling 10 wins at 197. He has won six out of his last eight contests. After opening with a 10-7 ledger, Lee has not wrestled since Dec. 7 due to an injury.Â
• In the Southern Scuffle to open 2025,
Aidan Wallace placed second, while
Connor Barket placed seventh. With his seventh-place finish, Barket now owns back-to-back podium placements at the event as he placed seventh in 2024.Â
• As a team, Duke totaled a 3.647 grade-point average in the fall of 2024, while
Raymond Adams,

• The 2024-25 Duke wrestling team features a trio of captains – sophomore
