Gameday Information – Duke Silent Auction for Lead the Way
- Duke welcomes Air Force to Koskinen Stadium for a Noon faceoff.
- The game will be Duke's Military Appreciation Day as the Blue Devils honor Jimmy Regan's legacy and impact. Current and retired military and first responders will get two free tickets with official identification.
- Duke lacrosse will host a silent auction at the stadium. Available for bidding for fans in attendance are two Duke Blue helmets, one white Helmet, a Duke Blue jersey, a white jersey and two pairs of goalie gloves. All of the items will be signed by members of the team. Winners must be present and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Lead the Way Fund.
- The auction will close at the end of halftime. Winners can pay in cash at the stadium or via credit card on Monday through the Duke Ticket Office.

The Opening Faceoff
- Duke moved to 5-1 following a workmanlike 11--6 win over No. 14 Penn. The Blue Devils outscored the Quakers, 6-0, in the third quarter to pull away for their second top 20 win. Duke held Penn scoreless for 25:45 and to just one goal in the second half with Patrick Jameison making seven saves in that span.
- Air Force makes the trip to Durham after a commanding 23-8 win over Marist. The Falcons are 2-4 overall with wins over the Red Foxes and Quinnipiac. The losses came to Lafayette, Denver, Ohio State and Boston University. Caelen Driggs has a team-best 20 goals while Josh Yago leads all point scorers with 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points. Air Force averages 38.8 shots per game and is shooting 34 percent, but also allowing 34.8 shots and 35-percent shooting for opponents.
- Duke has won the past two meeting with Air Force - defeating the Falcons by 10 and 12 goals in those games in 2021 and 2023. The Falcons have fared well over the years against the Blue Devils winning three of four from 2016-20. Overall, Duke is 9-5 against Air Force.

Series History
- Duke and Air Force meet for the 15th time overall and for the 10th time in the John Danowski era. Duke is 9-5 overall versus the Falcons and 7-3 since 2007. The Blue Devils have dominated the past two meetings - 2021 and 2023 - winning by 10 and 12 goals, respectively. Prior to that, Air Force won three of four from 2016-20.
- All three losses to Air Force under Danowski came by a single goal , including an overtime loss in 2016, while the seven wins are by an average margin of victory of 11 goals.
Mentee vs. Mentor
- Air Force head coach Bill Wilson and John Danowski reunite in Durham Saturday. Wilson, a 1994 graduate of Loyola, served as an assistant coach for Danowski at Hofstra from 1997-01. During his time with Coach D, the Pride made four trips to the NCAA Tournament and reached the quarterfinals in 1998 and 2000.

Last Time We Met
- Duke held Air Force to just one goal in the first half en route to an 18-6 win over the Falcons at Koskinen Stadium. The attack trio of Dyson Williams, Andrew McAdorey and Brennan O'Neill combined for nine goals while Duke dominated the faceoff dot winning 20-of-27.
- Duke fired 52 shots in the game and forced 22 Air Force turnovers while holding the Falcons to just 12 shots on goal.
Johnston Back for More in Year Two
- Benn Johnston had one of the best rookie years for a Blue Devil midfielder in program history and he looks to build on that. He's off to a solid start with 12 goals in six games, with five coming against Princeton Friday night. His seven goals in the past two games are two more than he had in the first four this season.
- The Illinois native scored 21 goals and dished eight assists for 29 points (1.53/gm). The 29 points and 1.53 points per game average are fourth and the 21 goals are tied for second in Duke freshman midfield history.
Duke's Depth at the Dot
- Duke has a wealth of depth at the faceoff dot with three options in junior Luke Engelke, sophomore Cal Girard and freshman Ben McCarthy. All three have taken at least 20 faceoffs this season. Engelke, following his 8-of-10 performance against Princeton has the edge in percentage (36-62, .581) while (McCarthy has taken the most draws (38-71, .535).
- This season marks the first time Duke has had a new stick at the faceoff dot for the first time since 2020. Jake Naso graduated after taking 1,688 career faceoffs. Girard and Engelke returned after having taken a combined 164 in their careers. The duo has already taken 55 this season. Freshman Ben McCarthy, a high school All-American, joins the fray.
