DURHAM, N.C. – No. 11 Duke turns its attention to the postseason, starting with the 2025 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament March 5-9 in Greensboro, N.C. The Blue Devils earned the No. 3 seed and will square off against Louisville at 7:30 p.m., live on ACC Network.
THE OPENING TIP:
- Duke and Louisville are set to square off for the 15th time on Friday evening. Louisville leads the all-time series, 9-4, but this will be the first meeting between the teams in the ACC Tournament.
- The Blue Devils are 51-38 all-time in the ACC Tournament, including 40-15 in Greensboro. Duke has won at least one game in 26 out of its last 29 appearances.
- Duke freshman Toby Fournier captured the program's sixth ACC Rookie of the Year honor, in addition to a spot on the All-ACC First Team and ACC All-Freshman Team. Ashlon Jackson received second-team recognition while Jadyn Donovan rounded out the group of Blue Devils garnering postseason awards with a nod to the All-Defensive Team. Duke now boasts 74 All-ACC selections all-time.
- In the NCAA, Duke ranks top 30 in seven categories - bench scoring (3rd), turnover margin (19th), offensive rebounding average (20th), forced turnovers per game (22nd), assist average (27th), scoring margin (29th) and rebound margin (29th).
- Duke's balanced attack is led by Toby Fournier (14.1), Ashlon Jackson (12.1) and Reigan Richardson (10.0), with Oluchi Okananwa (9.5) just under double digits.
- Per HerHoopStats, Fournier is the only freshman in the Power 4 and one of just six players in the Power Four conferences overall averaging at least 14.0 points on 55-percent shooting, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. She is also one of just two freshmen nationally (Joyce Edwards) to lead an AP top-15 team in scoring.
- Fournier leads all ACC freshmen in scoring (14.1), field goal percentage (55.0%), field goals per game (5.3), two-point field goals (5.1) and attempts (9.1), free throws (3.4) and attempts (4.9), offensive rebounds (2.1) and total rebounds (5.3), per HerHoopStats (min. 15 games played). She is also No. 2 in blocks per game (1.2) and No. 4 in two-point field goal percentage (55.8%) and defensive rebounds per game (3.2).
- Ashlon Jackson raised her level of play against ACC foes, putting up 11.5 points on 35-percent shooting and 38 percent from deep, along with 2.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds.
- Jackson is one of only 13 players in the Power 4 this season putting up at least 12 points, 2.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting 39 percent from three.
- A mainstay on the glass and one of the most versatile defenders in the ACC, Jadyn Donovan paces Duke in rebounds (207) and blocks (35) while ranking third in steals (45). She has totaled 18 games this season with seven-plus rebounds and seven contests with double-digit boards, while producing 14 contests with at least two steals and nine tilts with two or more blocks.
- Donovan is one of just five players in the ACC (Khadija Faye, Liatu King, Saniya Rivers, Makayla Timpson), and one of just 16 in the Power 4, averaging at least 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.
TOURNEY TIME:

- Duke finished ACC play with a 14-4 mark, earning the No. 3 seed and a double bye to Friday's quarterfinal round. The Blue Devils will square off Louisville at 7:30 p.m., on ACC Network.

- When the ACC Tournament first shifted to Greensboro in 2000, the Blue Devils won 17 consecutive games to claim the ACC Tournament crowns from 2000-04.
DEVIL IN THE DETAILS – DUKE DEFENSE RETURNS TO FORM:
- Duke flipped the switch and wreaked havoc during ACC play with the stifling Duke defense of the past two seasons returning to the forefront.
- Duke held 17 opponents below their respective season scoring averages, limiting foes to 54.1 points on 38-percent shooting. The Blue Devils also averaged 10.6 steals and 4.7 blocks while forcing the opposition into an ACC-high 22.2 turnovers per game.
- The Blue Devils concluded ACC play ranked in the top five of seven defensive categories, sitting atop the league in scoring defense, steals and turnover margin (+7.9). Duke checked in at No. 2 in three-point percentage defense (.278) and field goal percentage defense, No. 3 in rebounding defense (33.2) and No. 4 in blocks.
- The Blue Devil defense held ACC opponents to 0.67 points per possession, a vast improvement from the 0.86 defensive points per possession averaged in non-conference action.
FOURNIER TAKING FLIGHT:
- Rookie Toby Fournier has enjoyed a stellar freshman campaign, putting the nation on notice she's a force to be reckoned with. She paces Duke in scoring (14.1) and is second on the glass with 5.3 boards.
- The three-time USBWA Tamika Catchings National Freshman of the Week and league-leading six-time ACC Rookie of the Week honoree was crowned the 2025 ACC Rookie of the Year, becoming the sixth Blue Devil all-time, and the second player under Kara Lawson, to be named the conference's top freshman.
- The freshman phenom from Toronto, Ont., Canada also earned a spot on the All-ACC First Team and ACC All-Freshman Team, becoming Duke's 38th first-team All-ACC honoree and 26th freshman team selection. She is the first Duke rookie since Elizabeth Williams in 2012, and just the second all-time (Alana Beard), to earn a spot on the All-ACC First Team.
- The versatile forward has tallied a pair of double-doubles, netted nine 20-point games and is tied for the team high with 19 contests in double figures – the latter two ranking No. 2 and No. 10, respectively, on the Duke freshman charts. She needs just one more game to tie the school record of 10 held by Blue Devil greats Alana Beard and Chris Moreland.
- In the Duke freshman records, Fournier currently ranks fifth in free throws made (98), eighth in scoring (409), field goals (153) and field goal percentage (55.0%) and 10th in blocks (34).
- Per HerHoopStats, Fournier is the only freshman in the Power 4 and one of just six players in the Power Four conferences overall averaging at least 14.0 points on 55-percent shooting, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. She is also one of just two freshmen nationally (Joyce Edwards) to lead an AP top-15 team in scoring.
- Fournier has displayed great efficiency from the floor, ranking 32nd in the NCAA in field goal percentage (55.0%) and shooting 60 percent or higher 12 times this season, while averaging 1.04 points per possession and 0.71 points per minute. She has also been hitting her freebies at a 73-percent clip (82-of-113), after shooting 55.2% (16-of-29) in the first six contests.
- Fournier leads all ACC freshmen in scoring (14.1), field goal percentage (55.0%), field goals per game (5.3), two-point field goals (5.1) and attempts (9.1), free throws (3.4) and attempts (4.9), offensive rebounds (2.1) and total rebounds (5.3), per HerHoopStats (min. 15 games played). She is also No. 2 in blocks per game (1.2) and No. 4 in two-point field goal percentage (55.8%) and defensive rebounds per game (3.2).
- The Toronto, Canada product was tapped as one of 50 players to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Midseason Watch List and was also named a World Exposure Report Freshman Player Of The Year Semifinalist.
WINNING TIMES:
- The Blue Devils completed the home portion of their 2024-25 regular season slate with a 13-1 record (.929) at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Over the past three years, Duke is 41-6 (.870) at home.
- Duke put up 78.0 points on a scorching 48-percent clip when playing at home in 2024-25, outscoring opponents by an average of 27.7 points per contest.
- Duke has also enjoyed immense success in the ACC recently as the Blue Devils have reestablished themselves as one of the league's premier programs.
- Duke has totaled 39 ACC victories in the past three seasons, No. 2 in the conference. The Blue Devils finished ACC play with 14 wins, after posting 14 and 11, respectively, in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
- The Blue Devils have posted 10-plus ACC wins in three consecutive seasons, marking their longest streak in over a decade. The last time Duke posted three straight seasons with double-digit ACC victories was 2012-2015, when the team notched 17 (2012-13), 12 (2013-14) and 11 (2014-15) dubs, respectively.
- Notre Dame (44) is the only team to compile more wins than the Blue Devils during this stretch. NC State and Florida State are right behind the Blue Devils with 38 and 37 victories, respectively, while Louisville and Virginia Tech each have 36. North Carolina rounds out the group with 35 wins.
JD BRINGIN' DEFENSIVE VERSATILITY:
- Sophomore Jadyn Donovan picked up the first conference honor of her career as she was tapped to the ACC All-Defensive Team - the 26th Blue Devil to be named to the conference's all-defensive team.
- A mainstay on the glass and one of the most versatile defenders in the ACC, Donovan paces Duke in rebounds (207) and blocks (35) while ranking third in steals (45). She has totaled 18 games this season with seven-plus rebounds and seven contests with double digits boards, while producing 14 contests with at least two steals and nine tilts with two or more blocks. In ACC play, the sophomore ranked fourth with 1.6 blocks per game.

- Following a career-best performance (23 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and four steals) in the victory at South Dakota State (11.17), Jadyn Donovan became just the fifth Duke player, and first since 2019, to post a statline of 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals. She joined Alana Beard (2x), Haley Gorecki, Sheana Mosch and Traci Williams as the other Blue Devils to achieve the feat.
GLASS WORK:
- Duke has been extremely solid on the glass this season, checking in among the top 30 nationally in offensive rebounds per game (20th) and rebounding margin (29th).
- For the season, Duke averages 39.0 rebounds per game with nearly 15 (14.8) coming on the offensive end. Duke has parlayed its extra opportunities into 441 second-chance points.
- Per HerHoopStats, Duke is ninth in the NCAA in offensive rebounding rate (40.4%), 14th in total offensive rebounds (445), 17th in offensive rebound average (14.8) and 25th in total rebound rate (54.9%).
- In ACC play, Duke led the league in offensive rebound percentage (.396). Duke is also No. 2 in offensive rebounds per game (14.8) and rebounding margin (+4.5) and No. 3 in rebounding defense (33.2).
- Seven other Blue Devils have tallied at least 60 boards this season - Toby Fournier (153), Oluchi Okananwa (147), Delaney Thomas (139), Jordan Wood (93), Taina Mair (88), Reigan Richardson (79) and Ashlon Jackson (68).
ACTION JACKSON:
- Ashlon Jackson was tapped to the 2025 All-ACC Second Team, becoming the 27th Blue Devil all-time to garner a spot on the all-conference second team.
- Jackson raised her game during the league slate, putting up 11.5 points on 35-percent shooting and 38 percent from deep, along with 2.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds.
- She is one of only 13 players in the Power 4 this season putting up at least 12 points, 2.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting 39 percent from three.
- Jackson is tied for the team lead with 19 double-digit scoring games this season, including four with over 20 points, and has five games where she has knocked more than five threes.
- She has reached double figures in 12 of the past 17, averaging 12.1 points on a 37-percent clip from three, along with 2.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
- The China, Texas product leads the squad in three pointers (69) and minutes per game (28.2), while ranking second in scoring (12.1). Her 69 triples rank fifth in the ACC.
