UNCASVILLE, Conn. – The Connecticut Sun of the WNBA recently announced that it was signing former Duke women's basketball guard
Ashlon Jackson to a rest-of-season contract. The Sun have 11 regular-season games remaining.
Jackson, the 23rd overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, has played in seven games this season for the Sun. She scored her first career points in her professional debut May 20, 2026.
Ranked second in Duke history with 235 career three-pointers, Jackson hit her first trifecta as a pro in a loss to Golden State. The Sun are 8-25 overall this season and have lost two straight. The team returns to the court Aug. 18 against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Jackson, a two-way player, excelled on both ends of the court for Duke during her career. As a senior, she averaged 33.8 minutes per game as a senior, averaging 11.2 points, 4.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.
Duke's top three-point shooter throughout her career, Jackson drained 73 trifectas for the year, making her the third Blue Devil to record at least 70 threes in multiple seasons. She owns two of the top nine single-season three-point totals in program history. She dished a career-best 164 assists to rank fifth in Duke single-season history.
A two-time All-ACC pick, Jackson experienced incredible growth during her time in Durham. She averaged just 13 minutes per game as a freshman, becoming a mainstay in the starting lineup for the next 106 games. Jackson finished her career with a 104-36 overall record and a 56-16 mark in ACC play. She graduated as one of Duke's 1,000-point scorers with 1,272 points and ranks second all-time in Blue Devil history with 235 three-pointers.
