Duke Unveils Challenging 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's basketball head coach Kara Lawson has announced a challenging slate of non-conference games for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The two-time reigning ACC Champions will play 11 non-conference games, including matchups with three of the 2026 Final Four teams.
Fans can catch the Blue Devils in action inside Cameron Indoor Stadium four times before ACC play begins, highlighted by the SEC/ACC Challenge matchup with South Carolina. Duke also is set to face UConn and UCLA at neutral sites before it turns the page to 2027.
Overall, the crop of current non-conference foes posted a combined 236-81 record for a 75-percent win rate. Only one of the nine finished under .500 and six of the nine won at least 75 percent of their matchups.

A Packed November Slate
The Blue Devils will play seven games in a span of 25 days in November. Three of the contests will be in the friendly confines of Cameron Indoor Stadium, with the other four being held at neutral sites.
The 2026-27 season officially kicks off Nov. 3 in Cameron Indoor Stadium against University of Wisconsin Green Bay. It will be the second all-time meeting with the reigning three-time Horizon League champs and the first since 1991.
Duke hits the road for the first time that weekend, traveling to Dallas for a Nov. 8 matchup against North Texas at American Airlines Center in the Foundry Classic. It will be the first matchup between the Mean Green and Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils make a stop in Norfolk, Virginia to play Norfolk State for a second consecutive season before returning to Durham for a two-game homestand against Marshall and Fordham, Nov. 15 and 19, respectively.
The Big Apple awaits the Blue Devils next as Duke tangles with the Columbia Lions. It will be the third meeting with the Ivy League foe under Lawson and the second in New York City.
The Final Four Tour Begins
After playing three games in seven days, Duke takes a short break from outside competition before beginning a gauntlet that features 2026 Final Four foes UConn, South Carolina and UCLA. Â
Duke travels to Boston for a Nov. 28 game against UConn at TD Garden. The matchup with the Huskies will mark the 18th meeting between two of the premier programs in women's basketball. Duke last played UConn in the Sweet 16 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, falling to the Huskies by a 53-45 score. The two teams last squared off in the regular season in 2022.Â
The tour comes to Durham, Dec. 3 when the Blue Devils host NCAA runner-up South Carolina in the 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge. It will be the fifth straight season Duke will play the Gamecocks and the sixth time overall the two teams have squared off in Cameron.
Following the break for final exams, Duke heads west for a trio of games. The three-game swing starts Dec. 16 with a rematch of the 2026 Elite Eight game against reigning NCAA Champion UCLA in Phoenix for the Hoop Hall Women's Showcase.
Duke makes the short trip up to Las Vegas for a pair of games in the Players Era Women's Championship event Dec. 19-20. The Blue Devils' opponents will be announced at a later date.
The squad's ACC schedule has yet to be announced, but the Blue Devils are set to host nine ACC opponents at Cameron Indoor Stadium – California, Stanford, Pittsburgh, Miami, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Syracuse and North Carolina. On the road, Duke faces SMU, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Virginia, and Boston College.
The 2027 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament is set for March 3-7 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Coming off a 27-9 overall record that included ACC regular season and ACC Tournament titles and a trip to the Elite Eight, the Blue Devils return three starters and nine players from last year's roster. Duke welcomed sophomore transfer Aaliyah Crump and a talented crop of four freshmen to the program, giving the Blue Devils incredible depth heading into the season. Â
