SETTING THE SCENE
• Duke redshirt sophomore heavyweight
Connor Barket will make his debut at the NCAA Wrestling Championship this week, which is being held March 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
• First round action will start at 12 p.m., with 125 pounds on ESPNU. The heavyweights will go last of the groups.Â
• Barket has been seeded No. 27 and will open play Thursday against sixth-seeded Joshua Heindselman (22-4) of Michigan. The Barket/Heindselman winner advances to face the winner of the 11th-seeded Jimmy Mullen of Virginia Tech against 22nd-seeded Brady Colbert of Army on Thursday afternoon.
• With his fifth-place finish at the ACC Championship, Barket received the automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.Â
• Barket, who is from West Lafayette, Ind., has totaled a team-best 24 wins on the season to only 10 losses.Â
