BUIES CREEK, N.C. - No. 13 Duke women's lacrosse earned its fourth straight victory with its 14-6 win at Campbell Monday afternoon. The Blue Devils improve to 6-2 overall.

Bella Goodwin, who earned her career-high five goals in today's contest. Along with her five goals, she dished out an assist. Graduate student

Carly Bernstein found the back of the cage twice and dished out two assists. Sophomore

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hem found the back of the cage twice in the first four minutes of the game to open scoring for Duke. Her first goal came at 14:12 off a feed from Pronti. Barrett found Hem open in front of the cage at 11:44, when she found the back of the net for the second time.
- Campbell responded at 7:54 to make it 2-1, but Duke answered with a three-goal run that extended into the second quarter. With 1:53 remaining in the first period, Goodwin scored her first goal of the day, to give Duke the 3-1 lead. Just 52 second into the second period MacDonald scored. Less than three minutes later, Pronti found Goodwin to give Duke the 5-1 lead.
- Campbell made it 5-2 with a goal at 9:25, but the Blue Devils responded less than a minute later with a two-goal run. Bernstein scored her first goal of the game at 8:35 left in the first half, and less than a minute later, Goodwin scored her third, giving Duke the 7-2 lead.
- The Camels scored with 3:30 remaining in the first half, making it 7-3 in favor of Duke. The Blue Devils found the back of the cage two more times before going into halftime. With 2:35 remaining in the second quarter, Goodwin found Barrett open in the middle of the crease and she rebounded it into the back of the cage to make it 8-3. Hem followed suit and scored her third goal of the game off a Bernstein assist to give the Blue Devils the 9-3 lead going into halftime.
- In the first half, the Blue Devils outshot the Camels 17-10, led draw controls 8-6, were 8-9 on clears and earned eight ground balls led by junior Madison Beale with two.
- The Camels opened scoring less than three minutes into the second half, decreasing the Blue Devils' lead to 9-4, but Goodwin scored her fourth goal of the game at 11:30. Pronti scored just under two minutes later off a Bernstein assist to make it 11-4 for Duke.
- Campbell scored with 2:18 remaining in the third quarter to make it 11-5 for Duke going into the final period.
- To open the final period, Goodwin scored her fifth goal to increase the Blue Devils' lead 12-5 with 13:59 remaining. The Camels responded with a goal 53 seconds later, but that would be their last of the game.
- Duke held the Camels scoreless for the final 13:06. To close out the final period, Duke saw a goals from Bernstein at 10:25 and Rigby at 2:17 for the first of her career to finish the 14-6 win.
- Defensively, the Blue Devils forced 10 caused turnovers led by freshman Amanda Paci with three. Redshirt junior goalie Kennedy Everson and graduate student goalie Chloe Provenzano each recorded six saves.
