The Opening Faceoff
- Duke moved to 4-0 following an 8-7 overtime win over No. 19 Michigan. Andrew McAdorey scored the game's final three goals - all in a span of 5:11 - to lift Duke to victory. They were his first three goals of the game. Patrick Jameison anchored an outstanding defensive effort with 14 saves and six ground balls. Duke held the Wolverines to just eight second-half shots - the fewest in a half by a Duke opponent in the shot clock era.
- Duke is in the middle of a three-game set against top-20 opponents. The Blue Devils will play 10 of the current USILA top 20.
- Princeton, ranked eighth in the latest USILA poll, is coming off a 13-9 loss to Maryland last weekend. The Tigers are 1-1 with their win coming at Penn State to start the season. Coulter Mackesy has a team-high 10 points from eight goals and two assists while Colin Burns has five goals. Andrew McMeekin has taken all but nine faceoffs and is 15-of-43 with nine ground balls. Ryan Croddick is the backstop and has an 11.22 goals against average and a .603 save percentage.
- This is the second consecutive meeting between Duke and Princeton. The Tigers hold an 8-2 advantage in the series, but the two historic programs have only played twice in the 21st century.

SERIES HISTORY
- Duke and Princeton square off for the 11th time overall and for the second consecutive season. The Blue Devils are 2-8 versus the Tigers in program history, but own the most recent win, 17-8, last season. This is just the third matchup between the programs in the 21st century.
- With Duke coming in ranked sixth and Princeton at No. 8 it is the highest ranked the two teams have been when facing each other since No. 7 Duke took on No. 1 Princeton in the 1998 NCAA Tournament.

Last Time We Met
- Coming off a tough loss to Penn, Duke used a 9-0 run over a span of 21 minutes en route to a 17-8 victory over the Tigers last year in Durham. The attack trio of Josh Zawada, Dyson Williams and Brennan O'Neill finished with 11 of the 17 goals.
- Defensively, Duke held Princeton without a goal for 22:43 with Patrick Jameison anchoring the defensive effort with 14 saves in 48 minutes of action.
Game Four Recap
- Andrew McAdorey scored the game's final three goals to lift the sixth-ranked Blue Devils to a thrilling 8-7 overtime win over No. 19 Michigan last Saturday. McAdorey scored three unanswered goals in a span of 5:11. The Long Island native tallied the game winner on Duke's second possession in overtime.
- Duke's defense was lights out for the entire 61:59, holding Michigan to just seven goals and forcing 18 turnovers. Patrick Jameison turned in his best performance of the season with 14 saves on 30 shots faced. The Blue Devils held Michigan to eight second-half shots - the fewest in a half by a Duke opponent since 2017.
It's Christmas Time in Durham
- Longstick midfielder Mac Christmas is having a super sophomore season. After playing in only eight games his freshman season, the 6-4 LSM is a key contributor on Duke's defensive unit that ranks second nationally in caused turnovers.
- Christmas already had four goals and an assist this season. His four goals are the most by a pole since Billy Conners had four in 2013. CJ Costabile had seven goals twice in his career with the most recent time coming in 2012.
- Christmas joined Costabile as the first pole to record two goals in a game when he threw in two against Saint Joseph's. The Bethesda, Maryland native also has seven ground balls and a caused turnover this season.
Duke's Depth at the Dot
- Duke has a wealth of depth at the faceoff dot with three options in junior Luke Engelke, sophomore Cal Girard and freshman Ben McCarthy. All three have taken at least 20 faceoffs this season. McCarthy has the slight edge in percentage and faceoff wins (25-of-43 - .581) while Engelke is at .575 (23-of-40).
- This season marks the first time Duke has had a new stick at the faceoff dot for the first time since 2020. Jake Naso graduated after taking 1,688 career faceoffs. Girard and Engelke returned after having taken a combined 164 in their careers. The duo has already taken 55 this season. Freshman Ben McCarthy, a high school All-American, joins the fray.
