DURHAM, N.C. – TopDrawerSoccer released its Team of the Week for the NCAA Quarterfinals Tuesday morning, with Duke freshman
Jocelyn Travers and junior
Mia Minestrella earning accolades.
The duo helped lead the Blue Devils into the NCAA College Cup for the second consecutive year with a 3-0 victory over 13th-ranked Washington. Duke became the 12th program in NCAA history to take back-to-back teams to the NCAA College Cup and advanced for the sixth time in Blue Devil lore.
Travers, a product of Santa Cruz, California, played 86 minutes and added an assist on Duke's second goal of the match versus the Huskies. She helped the Blue Devil defense collect their fourth consecutive shutout in NCAA play and the 12th overall shutout this season. Duke is the only team in the NCAA Tournament to not allow a goal so far. Travers has started seven matches in a row and totaled three assists during that stretch.
The only student-athlete to score at least one goal in all four 2025 NCAA Tournament contests, Minestrella leads the field with six goals and is tied for first with 13 points. Minestrella, who hails from Redondo Beach, California, now owns 18 goals on the season and is one away from matching the Duke single-season mark held by Michelle Cooper (19). In the match against Washington, Minestrella totaled a goal and an assist in the 3-0 victory.
Duke is set to face top-ranked Stanford in the NCAA College Cup Friday, Dec. 5 at 8:45 p.m., live on ESPNU from Kansas City, Missouri.
