SETTING THE SCENE
• The Duke wrestling team will continue dual match action this weekend as the Blue Devils travel to Bethlehem, Pa., for WrangleMania. The event is organized by Journeymen Wrestling and will take place at Liberty High School.
• Duke will face off against Hofstra and No. 8 Lehigh in the 10-school event, featuring Appalachian State, Duke, Hofstra, Indiana, Lehigh, Lock Haven, Long Island, Navy, Rutgers and Virginia.Â
• The Blue Devils take on Hofstra Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m., followed by a 1:30 p.m. contest with No. 8 Lehigh.Â
• Duke will then move to Freedom High School on Sunday, Nov. 9 for the Journeymen Collegiate Classic where the Blue Devils will compete individually.

THE SERIES WITH HOFSTRA
• Duke and Hofstra will meet for the fourth time in program history. The Pride lead the series with a 2-1 record.
• The two teams last met on Nov. 16, 2024, when the Blue Devils fell 12-21 on the road in Hempstead, N.Y. Duke totaled four victories in the match last season from

THE SERIES WITH LEHIGH
• Duke and Lehigh will meet for the second time in program history, with Lehigh holding a 1-0 edge in the series.
• The teams met for the first time on Dec. 30, 2019, when the Blue Devils lost 4-47 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to the 14th-ranked Mountain Hawks.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Duke wrestling team won five out of the last six matches to register a come-from-behind home victory, 19-18, over Sacred Heart on Nov. 1 in the 2025-26 season opener.

Aurelius Dunbar, a graduate transfer from Penn State, got things started in the 157-weight class with a 4-2 decision in his Duke debut over AJ Falcone. The victory pushed Dunbar to 11-10 in his career.
•
Aidan Wallace secured his first Duke win at 174 pounds with a 5-4 overtime decision versus Aidan Zarrella. Wallace got an escape in the second overtime to register the victory.
•
Gaetano Console (184) notched his 20th career win at Duke with an impressive 21-5 technical fall victory over Eric Wolf. Console totaled three takedowns in the first period and six for the match.
•
Riley Rowan (125) closed the match with a 2-0 decision to secure the Duke win. His escape in the second period earned him his second career dual match victory and Duke's first 1-0 start since 2021.
• The Blue Devils collected victories on the day from Dunbar (157), Wallace (165), Console (184),
Connor Barket (HWT) and Rowan (125) to score 19 of the last 22 points in the match.Â

BARKET & WALLACE RANKED NATIONALLY
• Duke wrestling redshirt junior
Connor Barket was listed in three different rankings ahead of the 2025-26 season.
• In the latest rankings, Barket is listed by Intermat (#23), WrestleStat (#29) and FloWrestling (#20).Â
• Barket, a native of West Lafayette, Ind., is coming off a season where he advanced to the NCAA Championship for the first time in his collegiate career. He collected a 24-12 ledger and was ranked as high as No. 17 nationally a season ago. Barket posted a 12-5 dual match ledger and totaled four wins against ranked opponents.
• In the preseason, Barket was ranked No. 18 by FloWrestling, No. 21 by Intermat and No. 27 by WrestleStat in the Heavyweight listing. He is currently ranked 20th by FloWrestling after his 1-0 start.
• Seeing action at 174 pounds this season, redshirt sophomore
Aidan Wallace is ranked No. 29, after opening the season with an overtime win.
