• The Duke wrestling team returns to dual match action Friday, Jan. 10 as the Blue Devils open ACC action on the road at fifth-ranked NC State (6-0). The match will be contested at 5 p.m., inside James T. Valvano Arena at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, N.C.

• Duke is riding a three-match winning streak with victories against Presbyterian (38-9), Davidson (22-21) and VMI (22-12).

• Following the NC State contest, the Blue Devils will return home to host Gardner-Webb (Jan. 14) and North Carolina (Jan. 17).Â

Gaetano Console picked up his first dual match win of the season with a 14-4 major decision victory against Marc Koch of Davidson. He now owns 10 dual match wins over his career.

Aidan Wallace owns a team-best 20 wins on the season and holds a 20-5 ledger heading into the NC State contest. He is coming off posting a 5-1 record at the Southern Scuffle and placed second overall. Wallace has won 13 out of his last 15 matches.

Aidan Wallace turned in a second-place finish to close action at the Southern Scuffle, which was held at UT-Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tenn.

For the weekend in the 165-pound weight class, Wallace posted a 5-1 ledger along with his first two ranked wins of his career and two seeded victories. He became the first Duke finalist at the event since Josh Finesilver in 2022.

On Sunday, Wallace opened action in the semifinals with a 10-6 decision against 32nd-ranked Tate Picklo of Oklahoma. In the finals, Wallace dropped an 18-3 tech fall to 13th-ranked Gunner Filipowicz of Army.

Connor Barket turned in a seventh-place ledger on the weekend with a 4-2 record in the heavyweight bracket. Barket posted a fall at the 5:39 mark against Virginia's Gabe Christenson and then dropped a 14-4 major decision against Hunter Catka of Virginia Tech. In the seventh-place match, Barket posted a 10-2 major decision against Daulton Mayer of Bellarmine to close action.
