Nick Conte were selected on Monday as the MLB First-year Player Draft continued in Arlington. Beilenson was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the fifth round, while Conte was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the eighth round.

Charlie Beilenson – Seattle Mariners – Round: 5; Pick: 154
The Blue Devils lockdown closer out of the bullpen the previous two seasons and Duke's first consensus first team All-American in program history, Beilenson enjoyed a historic two-year run with Duke. The righty was a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, a finalist for the Stopper of the Year award and was named to the All-ACC first team as a relief pitcher. A year removed from setting the program record for appearances with 39, the Los Angeles, Calif., native appeared in 34 games during the 2024 campaign, leading the team for the second consecutive season. Beilenson posted a 7-3 record on the mound, boasting a 2.01 ERA and tied the single season saves record with 12. He worked 62.2 innings, allowing 14 earned runs and pacing the Blue Devils with 92 strikeouts, while holding opponents to a .181 batting average against. In his two seasons with Duke, Beilenson recorded a 2.92 ERA and tallied a 13-6 record on the mound. He accumulated 123.1 innings, struck out 170 batters and held opponents to a .212 average against.
Nick Conte – Kansas City Royals – Round: 8: Pick: 227
One of Duke's relief arms for the past three seasons, Conte has posted a 3-1 record on the bump in 20 appearances. Battling injuries for a few years the North Providence, R.I., native has worked 18.1 innings striking out 23 batters in his career. Conte has held opponents to a .209 batting average against in his time at Duke.
