DURHAM – The 2024 MLB Draft takes place July 14-16, and draft-eligible Blue Devils await the life-long dream of hearing their names called during the event.
The draft will be 20 rounds and held in Fort Worth, Texas at Cowtown Coliseum.
Schedule & Broadcast Information
The first round of the MLB Draft will take place on Sunday, July 14 at 7 p.m. The first day will be broadcast live on MLB Network and ESPN for the 13th consecutive year. The second and third days of the draft can be streamed for free on MLB.com.
Day 1 (Round 1-2): July 14, 7 p.m. – MLB Network and ESPN
Day 2 (Rounds 3-10): July 15, 2 p.m. – MLB.com
Day 3 (Rounds 11-20): July 16, 2 p.m. – MLB.com
Beginning in 2017, the MLB added picks to the draft designed to level the competitive playing field. Round A of the competitive balance picks (selections 31-39) will be on Sunday following the first round, while Round B (66-74) will take place on Monday following the second round.
Duke in the Draft:
Heading into the 2024 MLB Draft, Duke boasts 95 selections in the history of the event. Last season, the Blue Devils had four draft picks. Forty-one of Duke's draft selections have come under head coach
Chris Pollard and at least one Blue Devils has been drafted in the first five rounds in nine of the last 10 MLB Drafts. Under coach Pollard, Duke has tallied nine years with at least three or more picks in a draft and five years with five or more players selected.

Jonathan Santucci checking in at No. 37. Santucci has been a projected first round selection in mock drafts throughout the 2024 season.
