ATLANTA, Ga. – The Duke women's track and field team made ACC history on Saturday as the Blue Devils became the first women's team to win back-to-back outdoor conference titles outright since the league expanded to 15 teams.
The Blue Devils, who won their third women's ACC Championship in the last four seasons, capped a stellar weekend at the ACC Outdoor Championships by collecting six more medals and garnering 20 All-ACC honors on the final day of competition. Four of Duke's six medals were gold as sophomore

Duke's women finished the three-day conference meet with 133 points – 12 points better than the runner-up (Clemson). On the men's side, the Blue Devils totaled 70.33 points to place seventh. Overall, Duke crowned seven ACC Champions, produced 13 medals and garnered 37 All-ACC honors over the course of the weekend.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Duke made program history Saturday as the quartet of Mia Edim, Abby Geiser, Halle Bieber and Maddy Doane registered the team's first ACC title in the women's 4x100m relay.
- The Blue Devil foursome set a season's best as they raced to a blistering time of 43.59 seconds to claim the victory while improving their own school record in the process. Additionally, the time checked in at No. 15 nationally at the time of the race.
- Sophomore Lauren Tolbert and graduate student Skyla Wilson pushed Duke's Saturday gold medal tally to three as each captured the ACC title in their respective events and All-ACC First Team accolades via career-best performances.
- Taking part in the women's 400m, Tolbert dashed a blazing 52 seconds flat to earn the win and improve her No. 3 all-time program mark. Wilson captured the 400m hurdles crown via a personal best of 56.05 seconds – tied for No. 7 in the NCAA at the time of the race. The mark trimmed over a second off her previous best and moved her up one spot to No. 2 on the Duke charts.
- The Blue Devils capped the conference meet with their fourth gold medal of the day, and seventh of the weekend overall, with a win in the women's 4x400m.
- Duke's quartet of Doane, juniors Megan McGinnis and Meredith Sims and Tolbert grabbed the title via a time of 3:31.76, which included splits of 53.52 seconds and 50.89 seconds in the final two legs to help the Blue Devils come from behind for the win.
- Bieber and Wilson each added one more medal on the day, as the duo placed second and third, respectively, in the women's 200m and 100m hurdles. Bieber improved her spot on the Duke charts and moved up to No. 2 in program lore via a personal best of 22.97 seconds while Wilson clocked 13.26 seconds in her race.
- Graduate students Beau Allen and MaKayla Mason garnered All-ACC Second Team status following sixth-place finishes in the men's high jump and women's discus, respectively.
- Allen passed on the first height, then cleared the next three bars before bowing out of the competition with a final clearance of 2.14m (7-0.25 feet). Mason made her third attempt the charm, launching the discus 50.14m (164-6 feet) to notch her second all-conference honor of the weekend.
- McGinnis also earned All-ACC Second Team honors in the women's 400m on a finish of 53.33 seconds.
- Duke tallied six more nods to the all-conference second team thanks to solid showings by graduate students Ezra Mellinger, Addie Renner and Tia Rozario, senior Charlotte Tomkinson, Geiser and junior Beck Wittstadt in their respective event finals.
- Mellinger, Renner and Tomkinson paced the group with fourth-place finishes in the men's 200m, women's high jump and women's 800m, respectively. Mellinger finished his race in 20.84 seconds, Renner leapt a personal best of 1.76m (5-9.25) while Tomkinson clocked 2:04.35.
- Rozario delivered her furthest jump on her opening attempt, flying out to 12.79m (41-11.50 feet) to place fifth in the women's triple jump.
- Wittstadt and Geiser rounded out the group with sixth-place finishes, Geiser dashing 11.51 seconds in the women's 100m and Wittstadt posting a time of 1:48.26 in the men's 800m.
