QUOTES
- "It was a back-and-forth ballgame all day long. There were a bunch of lead chances, and they jumped up early and extended. We did a great job of having an answer and then they did a great job of answering us. It was one of those days that you knew it was going to take a lot of runs to win the game, just because of the way the ballpark was playing. Credit to Pitt, it wasn't a home run in the eighth, they just made it death by paper cuts. We gave up five infield singles that could have been double play balls. I though Beilenson executed really well and got soft contact, but sometimes that is our sport." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his overall thoughts on the series finale.
UP NEXT
- Duke heads home for a quick midweek matchup against Gardner-Webb at Jack Coombs Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
