BOSTON, Mass. – Senior
Brianna Smith capped a strong indoor track and field campaign at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday as the junior garnered United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America honors with a nod to the second team.
Competing at her first career national meet, Smith represented the Blue Devils in the pentathlon and totaled 3,923 points en route to placing 15th overall and locking down USTFCCCA All-America Second Team status. The Elkins Park, Pa., product registered her best performance of the day in the pentathlon high jump, tying for fourth in the event via a clearance of 1.75m (5-8.75 feet).
