DURHAM – With the conclusion of the 2024 ACC Fencing Championship, the Duke fencing team will turn its attention to the postseason as it competes in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Saturday in Madison, N.J.
What to Expect
- Duke's regional competition will take place in the Simon Forum and will feature Drew, Duke, Fairleigh Dickinson, Haverford, Johns Hopkins, Lafayette, NJIT, North Carolina, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Stevens, Temple and Wagner.
- The event begins at 10 a.m. with epee and foil. A break will take place at 12:30 p.m., followed by quarterfinals at 1 p.m., semifinals at 3 p.m., and finals at 5 p.m. Women's sabre will start at 1 p.m. followed by a break at 2 p.m., quarterfinals at 3 p.m., semifinals at 4 p.m., and finals at 5 p.m. Finally, men's sabre starts at 2 p.m. with quarterfinals at 3 p.m., semifinals at 4 p.m., and finals at 5 p.m.
- Results can be accessed at FencingTimeLive.com while a live video stream is available at landmarknetwork.tv/drew.
- Ticket prices are $5 for general admission and $3 for children (10 and under), seniors (65 and over), and veterans/first responders.
Last Time Out – Regionals
A fencer's performance at regionals will have a direct impact on their chance at qualifying for the NCAA Championship, as both the regular season resumé and placing at the regional meet will be considered when the field is selected next week.
