DURHAM - Duke women's lacrosse closes out its homestand with No. 8 Virginia Saturday before Campbell visits Monday evening. Opening draws are set for 1 p.m., and 7 p.m., respectively, on ACCNX.
Scouting the Cavaliers
- The Cavaliers come into Saturday's contest 9-2 overall and 3-2 in the ACC as the eighth-ranked team nationally. Most recently, Virginia dropped a narrow 15-14 decision to No. 7 Syracuse.
- Virginia is led by Morgan Schwab with 56 points (15g, 41a), Katia Carnevale (34g, 7a) and five other Cavaliers with 20 or more points. Midfielder Kate Galica has gotten it done on both sides of the field with 12 goals and three assists to go along with 41 draw controls, 17 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
- Goalie Mel Josephson has played in all 11 games with a 9.62 GAA and a .480 save percentage.
Series History
- Duke and Virginia meet for the 45th time in program history as the Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 27-17.
- Duke is 5-5 the last 10 games against Virginia and is 7-9 in Durham.
Scouting the Camels
- The Camels are 3-8 overall heading into Monday's game in Durham. Most recently, Campbell dropped a 15-8 decision at Coastal Carolina.
- Campbell is led by Joslin Hanbury with 25 goals and nine assists for 34 points while Ally Heath has 23 goals and five dimes for 28 points. Defender Katie Ochall leads the team with 49 draw controls and is second with 23 ground balls to go along with 11 caused turnovers.
- Goalie Emma Strickland has a .359 save percentage and a 14.97 GAA.
Series History
- Duke and Campbell meet for the fourth time in program history as the Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 3-0.
