The Milton, Ga., native made the jump from Double-A to the majors after spring training, joining the team for the Korea Series. In his first full minor league season, Pauley finished with a .308/.393/.539 slash line in 551 plate appearances. He ripped 32 doubles, five triples and 23 home runs.
