- Graduate Zac Morris belted his eighth and ninth home runs of the season, as Duke hit five against NC State on Sunday. Morris' second home run of the day was a grand slam, which put the conference run-rule in effect. He and Stone were the two Blue Devils with multiple home runs against the Wolfpack and Morris finished the day with six RBI.
- Duke improved to 184-60 (.754) when scoring first since 2016 and 198-42 (.825) when scoring three-plus runs in an inning.

QUOTES
- "Outside of about two half innings we really controlled the series. We just know we have to stick with what we are doing, and we did that today. I also challenged our guys to be the toughest version of ourselves today and we responded today." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his thoughts about the weekend and the guy's response on Sunday.
- "We have been pitched away all weekend long and we have had to creep up on the plate as the weekend has gone on. We have had to set our sights on that opposite field gap, because with how much we have been pitched away, there wasn't many opportunities to pull the ball." – On the approach at the plate to go the opposite way today.
- "We challenged guys today. When we have hammered the zone, except for the ninth inning yesterday, they haven't had a lot of success. We just wanted to keep them in swing mode and I am thrilled with how Fran Oschell III looked today. The long half inning where they made pitching changes didn't do him any favors and he hit a little bit of a wall in the second inning. That was a really big step forward for him and we need that guy to be the guy he looked like in the sixth inning." – On the pitching staff's approach and Oschell III having a quality outing.
UP NEXT
- Duke returns home to Jack Coombs Field for a midweek matchup with Campbell. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
