ATHENS, Ga. – The Duke women's 400 Medley Relay team consisting of
Ali Pfaff,
Kaelyn Gridley,
Aleyna Ozkan and
Sarah Foley, posted a new school record and finished seventh on Friday evening at the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Georgia.
The team touched in with a time of 3:28.71, shaving 2.33 seconds off their prelims time. On Thursday, Foley made the 200 IM finals and
Margo O'Meara qualified for the finals in the 1-meter event.
Freshman swimmer, Pfaff, recorded a school record in the prelims in the 100 Backstroke during the prelims on Friday, touching in with a time of 51.65.
The Blue Devils currently sit in 17th-place, scoring 57 points on the weekend. Duke's total of 57 points are already the most scored by the Blue Devils at the Women's NCAA Championships. The final day of competition begins on Saturday morning, as prelims for the 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly and Women's Platform diving take place.
