Andrew Healy had a career day on the mound for the Blue Devils (9-1) working a career high five innings and struck out a career high nine batters. Akron (3-6) took their first lead of the weekend in the top of the sixth, scoring three runs.
Junior
Devin Obee hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to cut the Zips lead to one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Logan Bravo opened the scoring for the Blue Devils in the bottom of the third, singling to shortstop to score Wallace Clark from third. AJ Gracia singled through the right side to score Ben Miller from third, 2-0.
- Akron cut the lead to one in the top of the fourth, 2-1.
- Akron took the lead in the top of the sixth, 4-2.
- Devin Obee hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth, 4-3.

- Junior Devin Obee cut the Zips lead to one in the bottom of the ninth, hitting a solo home run to right-center field. The home run was Obee's fourth of the season.
- Graduate Logan Bravo finished the day 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI.
- Graduate Ben Miller extended his hitting streak to 10 games on Saturday, finishing 1-for-4 on the day and scoring a run.
