DURHAM – Duke's Second Varsity Eight was named the ACC Crew of the Week following three strong performances in the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
The Second Varsity Eight boat swept all three races at the two-day event held on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The Blue Devils first stroked past North Carolina and Clemson in the morning session by nearly 11 and 12 seconds, respectively.

Chelsea Proutt collected their second win of the day during the afternoon session, powering past No. 16 Indiana and Notre Dame to a winning time of 6:25.530.
Duke wrapped up the weekend with another first-place finish, racing past crews from Navy, Notre Dame and Wisconsin, to clock a time of 6:37.028.
As a team, Duke won 13 of 15 races on the weekend and claimed close second-place finishes in the remaining two races.
The Blue Devils will go head-to-head with No. 9 Michigan and No. 12 Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Double Dual on March 30 in Columbus, Ohio.
