Zac Morris was named one of the top-50 best shortstops in college baseball this season, as announced by
D1Baseball. The Suffolk, Va., native was tabbed as the No. 35 shortstop in all of college baseball heading into the 2024 campaign.
A transfer from Virginia Military Institute, Morris was a second team All-SoCon honoree last season, producing a .317 average at the plate. He started 55 games for the Keydets, tallying 10 home runs, 48 runs scored and 49 RBI. Additionally, Morris earned a spot on the initial watch list for the 2023 Brooks Wallace Award by the College Baseball Foundation for the nation's best shortstop.
