DURHAM – The Duke women's lacrosse team is set to travel to Lynchburg, Va., to take on Liberty Tuesday afternoon. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m., on ESPN+.
Opening Draw
- Duke and Liberty meet for the fourth time in program history as the Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 3-0. Liberty comes into Tuesday's contest 1-3 overall and will face its fourth ranked opponent this spring.
Last Time Out
- The Duke women's lacrosse team dropped a 20-11 decision to No. 19 Clemson Saturday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.
- Duke was once again led by Katie DeSimone with five goals as eight different Blue Devils tallied points. Defensively, Margaret Anne Warner led the team with three caused turnovers and collected two ground balls.
- In cage for Duke, Kennedy Everson made six stops while Courtney Kaufman saved five.
Scouting the Flames
- Liberty comes into Tuesday's contest 1-3 overall and will face its fourth ranked opponent this spring.
- Liberty is led by Mackenzie Lehman with 11 points from nine goals and two assists while Cami Merkel has 10 points (8g, 2a). Midfielder Katie Colavito has five goals to her name to go along with 12 ground balls, 14 draw controls and 12 caused turnovers.
- The Flames utilize three goalies with over 60 minutes of action each in the cage. Mara Tellers is the starter and owns a 12.38 GAA and a .231 save percentage.
