Baseball Elects Captains for the 2024 Season

DURHAM – Senior Alex Stone and juniors Jimmy Romano, Jonathan Santucci and Devin Obee will serve as captains for the Duke baseball program for the 2024 season.
In addition to the four captains, four additional Blue Devils will fill out the 2024 leadership council. Each class elected a representative for the council in freshman Macon Winslow, sophomore Roman DiGiacomo, Junior Andrew Yu and senior Chad Knight.
The program instituted the leadership council in 2015 to take advantage of the team's diverse group of leaders. The concept was originally inspired through conversations with former Blue Devil and current Boras Corporation Player Representative Larry Broadway. Broadway was formerly the Pittsburgh Pirates Professional Evaluation Team Leader.
The Blue Devils open the season Feb. 16-18 at the Baseball at the Beach Tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina.

In 2024, Duke celebrates its Centennial, marking one hundred years since Trinity College became Duke University. Duke will use this historic milestone to deepen the understanding of its history, inspire pride and strengthen bonds and partnerships, and prepare for a second century of continued excellence and impactful leadership.
