DURHAM – As the Duke baseball team prepares for the 2024 campaign, the Blue Devils enter the fifth year of the K's 4 Kids' Cancer campaign and the second season of the Bases for Babies campaign.
Last season, Duke baseball raised $14,263 with both campaigns and over the last five years have raised $53,524 for the Duke Children's Hospital.
Help the Duke baseball team strikeout children's cancer by making a pledge for every strikeout that the Blue Devil pitchers rack up this season. Additionally, the Bases for Babies campaign returns allowing supporters to pledge for the total bases the Blue Devils get each game – single (one), double (two), triple (three) and home run (four).
Over the past four full seasons, Duke has averaged 590 strikeouts and 919 total bases. All funds go directly to support cancer research and patient care at Duke Children's Hospital. Each week, a recap will be sent to all pledgers with results of the games and an updated total.
