DURHAM – Duke track and field resumes indoor competition in Blacksburg this weekend, with the Blue Devils set to take part in the Doc Hale Invitational Feb. 2-3 at Rector Fieldhouse.
MEET INFORMATION
- 42 athletes are set to represent Duke this weekend in Blacksburg – 21 women and 21 men.
- Duke will see its multis unit compete for the first time this season, with the men's heptathlon kicking off the action on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
- Field events get going at 4 p.m., with the women's long jump while track events commence at 5:40 p.m., via the 60m hurdles.
- The men's pole vault (9:30 a.m.) gets the Saturday slate going, with the final events of the heptathlon set to resume at 10:30 a.m. On the track, the Blue Devils open the afternoon slate at 2:00 p.m. in the men's 800m.

LAST TIME OUT
- Senior distance runner Austin Gabay's record-breaking performance in the men's 3,000m race headlined the opening day of competition for Duke track and field at the BU Terrier Classic.
- The senior clocked 8:01.79, good for 15th among the field, slotting himself No. 2 all-time in program lore.
- On Saturday, the Blue Devils wrapped competition tallying one top-five program mark while also finishing in the top third of all four events the squad took part in.
