DURHAM, N.C. – No. 14 Duke heads to the West Coast to take part in the 2024 Ball Dawgs Classic, the MTE taking place at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada. Tournament action tips off with the Blue Devils taking on their second ranked opponent of the season in No. 10 Kansas State Monday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m., ET.
THE OPENING TIP:
- Duke and Kansas State match up for just the second time in the programs' respective histories and the first in more than two decades.
- Both meetings have taken place at neutral sites and with both teams ranked in the top 20 of the Associated Press (AP) Poll.
- The Blue Devils and Wildcats' first meeting on the hardwood took place Nov. 27, 2004 with No. 3 Duke coming away with a 12-point win over No. 16 KSU, 63-51.
- Duke is coming off a commanding, 79-47, victory over Belmont Thursday night. The Blue Devils featured three in double figures led by Toby Fournier's career-high 25 points.
- Oluchi Okananwa (15) and Ashlon Jackson (14) joined her in double figures while Jordan Wood and Reigan Richardson posted career days on the glass with 13 and nine rebounds, respectively, while also adding eight points each.
- The Blue Devils have wreaked havoc defensively, averaging 13.8 steals per game and forcing the opposition into 22.5 turnovers per game.
- Duke's 13.8 thefts per game currently rank first in program lore on the team single-season charts.
- Those marks also rank first and second, respectively, in the ACC and 19th and 45th, respectively, in the NCAA (NCAA rankings as of 11.24).

- In 19.3 minutes per game, Fournier has maximized her efficiency pacing the Duke offensive efforts with 14.5 points while ranking third on the glass with 5.3 rebounds.
- Duke's offense has been on a tear to open the year with the Blue Devils putting up 81.7 points per game on 47-percent shooting.

- Ninety-four of the Blue Devils' 182 field goals this season have been assisted (.516) - equating to 15.7 dimes per game. Mair spearheads the charge with a 3.0 per game average.
- Duke has received a huge lift from its reserves this season, checking in at No. 6 nationally and first in the ACC with 40.2 bench points per game (NCAA rankings as of 11.24).
LAST TIME OUT:
- Toby Fournier scored a career-high 25 points off the bench to pace the 14th-ranked Blue Devils to a commanding 79-47 victory over Belmont in women's basketball action Thursday evening inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Fournier knocked down 10-of-15 shots from the floor, including draining her first career three-pointer, pulled down six rebounds and blocked three shots in 25 minutes of action.
- The Blue Devils shot a season-best 55 percent from the field with Oluchi Okananwa and Ashlon Jackson contributing 15 and 14 points, respectively.
- Jordan Wood cleaned the glass for the Blue Devils, corralling a career-high 13 rebounds to go with her eight points.
- Reigan Richardson registered a superb performance on the boards snagging a collegiate best nine rebounds in addition to scoring eight points.
WREAKING HAVOC:
- The Blue Devils have wreaked havoc defensively averaging 13.8 steals per game and forcing the opposition into 22.5 turnovers a night.

- As a team, Duke has totaled 83 thefts on the year. Eight different Blue Devils own at least five steals with four players in double digits - Oluchi Okananwa (14), Delaney Thomas (14), Jadyn Donovan (12), Ashlon Jackson (10).
- Sophomores Oluchi Okananwa and Delaney Thomas lead the charge averaging 2.3 steals per game.
- Junior Taina Mair owns seven steals on the year with graduate student Vanessa de Jesus, rookie Toby Fournier and sophomore Jordan Wood collecting six thefts.
FOURNIER TAKING FLIGHT:
- Rookie Toby Fournier has gotten her collegiate career off to a rapid start, putting the nation on notice she's a force to be reckoned with.
- In 19.3 minutes per game, Fournier has maximized her efficiency, pacing the Duke offensive efforts with 14.5 points while ranking third on the glass with 5.3 rebounds.
- Her impact can also be felt on the defensive end, showcasing her rim-protecting ability with a team-best 1.33 rejections per game to go with 1.0 steals.
- She has reached double figures in five of Duke's first six games and led the team in scoring on two occasions.
- The Toronto, Ontario product is coming off a career performance against Belmont in which she poured in 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, rounding out her night with six rebounds and three blocks.
- Fournier was the first Duke freshman since Rebecca Greenwell to open her career with at least four consecutive games in double figures. Greenwell began the 2014-15 season with six straight.
BENCH MOB:
- Duke has received a huge lift from its reserves this season, checking in at No. 6 nationally and first in the ACC with 40.2 bench points per game (NCAA rankings as of 11.24).
- In the 84-49 victory over Dayton (11.4), the Blue Devils erupted for 58 points off the bench with four of the team's six double-figure scorers being reserves. Duke also netted 51 off the bench versus Belmont (11.21).
- Freshman Toby Fournier and sophomore Jordan Wood have led the charge thus far, with the duo combining to average 23.3 points and 10.5 boards per game.
- Fournier has notched double figures in five of the first six. She spearheads the Blue Devil scoring efforts (14.5) and ranks third on the glass with 5.2 caroms.
- After seeing limited action in 2023-24, Wood (8.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg) has thrived in a larger role and been an instant impact player for the Blue Devils. She has 45 points this season after scoring just 19 in 14 games last year.
- The Chicago, Ill., native has posted double figures in three games, notching a career-high 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting, three rebounds and three steals against Dayton (11.14).
- Reigning ACC Sixth POTY Oluchi Okananwa (7.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg) picked up right where she left off and continues to inject a jolt of energy off the Duke bench.
- She most recently turned in a strong all-around performance with 15 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks against Belmont (11.21).
- Vanessa de Jesus (6.0 ppg, 2.5 apg) and Emma Koabel (2.3 ppg, 2.2 rpg) have also provided solid contributions for the Blue Devils this season.
- de Jesus has started to find her groove as of late. She tallied 10 points, three rebounds and two dimes against Dayton (11.14), following that with 13 points, three assists and two boards at South Dakota State (11.17).
BALANCING ACT – OFFENSIVE FIREPOWER:
