DURHAM, N.C. – Duke baseball inked the No. 17 recruiting class in the country on Wednesday, by
Baseball America.
"On behalf of the Duke baseball family, I want to officially welcome our 2025 class to the program," head coach
Chris Pollard said. "It is a dynamic group of student-athletes! This class has a unique combination of speed, athleticism, and power arms. It is undoubtedly one of the best classes of baseball recruits in the country and one of the best Duke baseball classes in the history of the program. I want to applaud our coaching staff; and express my appreciation for the tireless energy they poured into the process of bringing the recruiting class to fruition."
The incoming 2025 class is comprised of five pitchers, three infielders, and two outfielders. The 10 prospects represent eight states, with New York and Pennsylvania leading the way with two recruits.
Baseball America rates the class 17th in the country and third in the ACC.
"The combination and physicality and athleticism along with their toughness and work ethic makes this an extremely special group,"
Eric Tyler said. "It's an exciting day to see these young men join the Duke baseball family. Blue Devil fans have a lot to look forward to with this group."
The 2025 class marks the sixth-straight
Baseball America top-25 class for the Blue Devils under head coach
Chris Pollard. Duke saw five players get drafted during the 2024 MLB Entry Draft, including
Jonathan Santucci,
Charlie Beilenson,
Nick Conte,
Fran Oschell III, and
Jimmy Romano.
"This is arguably the best class in school history,"
Derek Simmons said. "It was built on premium, high-octane pitchers with an athletic, physical position group. The entire coaching staff spent countless hours recruiting this special class, so today is a signature day to see these talented young men join our program."
Perfect Game also tabbed the Blue Devils' 2025 class at No. 13 overall in the country and second in the ACC.
