SETTING THE SCENE
• Duke heads back up north for the second straight weekend as the Blue Devils travel to Hempstead, N.Y., for the Hofstra Quad on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Blue Devils (0-2) will face host Hofstra (0-0) at 11:30 a.m., and then will take on Sacred Heart (1-2) at 1:30 p.m. Both matches will be played at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.Â
• The Blue Devils feature three different student-athletes that are from the state of New York --
Raymond Adams (Merrick, N.Y.),
Kwasi Bonsu (Baldwin, N.Y.) and
Dash Hort (New York, N.Y.). The Blue Devils also have five members of the team from New Jersey --
David Hussey (Lincroft, N.J.),
Noah Kochman (Ridgewood, N.J.),
Vincent Lee (Warren, N.J.),
Dylan Ross (Edgewater, N.J.) and
Aidan Wallace (Mahwah, N.J.).Â
• Following this weekend's matches, Duke heads home to have six straight matches at home. The Blue Devils' home opener will be slightly different as Duke hosts Michigan on Nov. 22, but it will be held at Jordan High School. The next day, the Blue Devils will host a Quad match with American, Utah Valley and Presbyterian. The contests will take place at Seaforth High School in Pittsboro, N.C.

THE SERIES
• Duke and Hofstra will meet for the third time in program history. The Blue Devils won the previous two contests in 2006 (24-21) and 2016 (30-15). The meeting on Feb. 18, 2006 was in New York, while the other contest on Jan. 9, 2016 was in Pittsburg, Pa.
• Duke and Sacred Heart will face off for the second time, after the Blue Devils won the previous meeting on Feb. 7, 2015 by a 29-14 ledger in Durham.Â

Aidan Wallace went undefeated this past Saturday in matches against LIU Brookville and 15th-ranked Rutgers. He collected two wins in the 165-pound weight class to notch his fourth and fifth wins of the season.Â
Connor Barket continued his solid start with a 3-0 decision at heavyweight versus Chris Powell of LIU Brookville to add on three points for the Blue Devils. Duke dropped both matches to LIU Brookville, 38-8, and 15th-ranked Rutgers, 46-4.Â
• A trio of Duke wrestlers –
Peter Chacon,
SP O'Donnell and
Connor Barket – went undefeated at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic to lead the Blue Devils at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pa. Chacon, O'Donnell and Barket combined for 10 victories on the day for the Blue Devils.

Peter Chacon, wrestling at 149, went 4-0 on the day for the Blue Devils. He opened the morning with a tech fall against Jason Daleo of Sacred Heart (17-2, 2:38), before collecting a 12-5 decision over Cole Stone of Army. Chacon, competing in his home state of Pennsylvania, then received a forfeit victory over Pitt-Johnstown and collected an 8-4 decision over Macario Calavitta of Cornell to close the day.
• Also competing at 149 pounds,
SP O'Donnell went a perfect 3-0 on Sunday. He recorded an 8-0 major decision against Long Island's Jordan Barry in his first match. O'Donnell, a product of Glenmoore, Pa., then registered a tech fall versus Danny Delusant of Sacred Heart (16-1, 5:19) and then closed the day with a 2-0 decision against JT Hogan of Lock Haven.

Connor Barket continued his solid start to his redshirt sophomore season with three wins. He registered a major decision versus Danny Church of Hofstra, 18-6, to open the day. Barket, who hails from West Lafayette, Ind., then posted a tech fall victory over Aeden Begue of Long Island (19-4, 4:39) and closed with a major decision, 11-2, against Aiden Compton of Cornell.

BARKET NETS RANKING
• Duke redshirt sophomore
Connor Barket earned a preseason No. 33 heavyweight national ranking by WrestleStat, prior to open the regular season. He moved to No. 27 following this past weekend's contests.
• Barket, a native of West Lafayette, Ind., is coming off a season where he posted a team-best 16 victories. He registered podium finishes at the Southern Scuffle and the Keystone Classic. Barket became the first redshirt freshman since the 2017-18 campaign to register at least 16 wins. He was the ACC wrestler of the week on Jan. 23, after totaling two dominating wins against Gardner-Webb and Chattanooga. Barket closed the regular season winning five out of his last seven matches.
