DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's basketball team will begin the 2024-25 campaign ranked No. 11 in the
Associated Press (AP) Poll, as the organization unveiled its preseason rankings Tuesday afternoon.
Reigning NCAA Champion South Carolina tops the poll with 745 points and 27 of the 30 first-place votes, with UConn checking in at No. 2 with 708 and 2, respectively. USC received the final first-place vote and is joined by Texas and UCLA to round out the top five.
Duke officially opens the 2024-25 season at home against Radford Monday, Nov. 4 in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils' third annual Education Day game is slated to tip off at 11 a.m., live on ACCNX.
Under the leadership of head coach
Kara Lawson in her fifth season at the helm, the Blue Devils are coming off another strong season. Duke notched its second straight 20-win campaign, finishing the year 22-12 while advancing to the program's 18th NCAA Regional Semifinal.
The Blue Devils welcome back four starters and 11 letterwinners from a season ago, including leading scorer and All-ACC Second Team selection

Oluchi Okananwa. Duke also welcomes the nation's seventh-ranked recruiting class, headlined by 6-2 forward
