DURHAM – The Duke men's soccer team is set to host UNC Wilmington in an exhibition match at Koskinen Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. Admission is free for fans.
The Blue Devils are coming off a 3-0 victory in a friendly against UNC Asheville on Sunday afternoon, the squad's first preseason action of the 2023 season. Duke is ranked No. 4 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches poll following an undefeated regular season in 2022 and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.

John Kerr enters his 16th season at the helm of the program and returns several starters from last year's team while making key additions to the roster via the freshman class, international signings and collegiate transfers.
Duke and UNC Wilmington have met a total of 26 times during regular season play, with the Blue Devils holding a 15-9-2 edge in the overall series. The two teams last met in a preseason friendly ahead of the 2021 season, with Duke prevailing, 4-2, on the road.
The Seahawks were picked to finish third in the Coastal Athletic Association this season and are coming off a 6-4-7 campaign in 2022.
