LAST TIME OUT
- Duke is coming off a solid showing at the VertKlasse Meeting this past weekend that saw the Blue Devils shatter two program records and register four top-five program marks.
- On Friday, Jide Akinjisola and Myles Schreck set the tone for the day behind a pair of standout performances in the men's hammer throw that culminated in top-five placements.
- Schreck had the stoutest performance of the morning en route to logging a runner-up finish, coming through with a massive and season-best throw of 60.19m (197-5 feet) on his fourth attempt – catapulting four spots up to No. 1 all-time while shattering the previous seven-year-old record by two feet.
- Akinjisola parlayed his fourth attempt into the farthest throw of his career as he tallied a toss of 58.95m (193-5 feet). The distance was good for fifth among the field and improved his No. 5 all-time program mark in the process.
- For the third time in as many meets, Robbie Otal bested his discus throw mark from the week before. Otal registered a season-best toss on Saturday and picked up his third consecutive win in the event behind a massive throw of 62.06m (203-7 feet) on his third attempt. Not only did his efforts reset the Duke school record in the event for the third time, but it also shattered the meet and facility record as well.
- Moorea Mitchell turned in another standout performance in the women's hammer throw. Coming out of the gates hot, Mitchell logged a personal-best throw measuring 57.59m (188-11 feet) on her first attempt. Her throw was good for fourth place and improved her No. 3 all-time program mark.
- Payton Little tallied another personal best for the third straight week – this one coming in the women's discus. Little's final throw was her most clutch and moved her up one spot to No. 4 all-time in school lore via a throw of 45.85m (150-5 feet).
