DURHAM – Duke returns to Koskinen Stadium Tuesday for a non-conference matchup with High Point. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m., on ACCNX.
LAST TIME OUT
- Virginia used a 6-1 run over a span of 9:53 in the fourth quarter and held off a late Duke charge to hand the 24th-ranked Blue Devils a 16-12 loss in ACC women's lacrosse action at Klöckner Stadium Saturday afternoon. The 12th-ranked Cavaliers outscored Duke 10-6 in the second half to secure the win.
- Lexi Schmalz led the Blue Devil offense with three goals and an assist for four points. Duke falls to 6-7 overall and 1-6 in league action, while Virginia moves to 10-4 overall and 5-2 against ACC foes. Virginia attacker Morgan Schwab led all scorers in the game with five goals and an assist.
- Duke has gone 3-7 since starting the season 3-0.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
- Duke and High Point meet for the sixth time in program history as the Blue Devils lead the all-time series 4-1 and have won two straight.
- High Point comes into Tuesday's contest 3-8 overall and most recently tallied a 15-5 victory over Radford.
- Offensively, the Panthers are led by Mena Loescher with 50 points by way of 28 goals and 22 assists. Caitlyn Baehr owns 20 caused turnovers, 29 ground balls and 21 draw controls.
- Goalie Taylor Suplee boasts a .349 save percentage and a 14.98 GAA.
